Quick tip: Linux Xkill

Need a fast and easy way to kill an unresponsive application in Linux?

  1. Press Alt + F2.
  2. Type xkill in the Run Application dialog.
  3. Click the application with the X (or skull and crossbone) cursor.

I discovered this after having a fullscreen Java app freeze on me a few times in Ubuntu.
