IAS BRMS logo

The IAS BRMS (Building Reporting and Monitoring System) was developed to be a flexible framework to cater for both large scale building installations and small residential installations.

The BRMS consisted of three sections: the DAQ (Java and MySQL), the reporting (PHP and MySQL), and optional touch-screen display (Flex and MySQL).

The system was cross-platform and developed for both Windows and Linux. It had a highly configurable communications layer that was used to support a number of different protocols, and a vast range of devices. All operator functions were done over a web interface. This allowed for off-site maintenance and support. The system also featured data integrity and security measures, including system checks and balances to handle data errors or anomalies, and a secure license system.

I was the developer and graphic designer on this project.
